Hail the Tail !

Mainline are once again the official dyno suppliers for the Summernats 26 Horsepower Heroes competition. (January 3rd to 6th January 2013)

We will be supplying and operating, two XPC2200 model chassis dynamometers. These twin retarder units were designed and purpose built specifically for Horsepower Heroes. They feature multiple traction enhancing devices not normally available on our mainstream models.

The key component of this unique model is the traction module (aka “whale tail”) attached to the rear of the dyno, and the integral cable and pulley assembly on the underside of the chassis bed. This is all activated by a pneumatic ram that results in a down force being applied to the vehicle. This ensures maximum traction and consistent results on the rollers during all power runs.

After the exceptional performance of this model dyno at Summernats 25, many of the new traction enhancing concepts have now been implemented and available on other models in our range. We have now manufactured several AWD units that have included the traction module assembly, and these units have been sold to clients within Australia and also in the Middle East.

If your going to Summernats 26, make sure you check out the action in the Dyno Cell, and say hello to the Mainline Dyno Team !
