Jake Edwards and Michael "Gup" Gilbert took out Horsepower Heroes honors for Summernats 26.

Jake's Performance became the second person ever to take out the Summernats 26 Horsepower Heroes "Forced Induction" title for two consecutive years, with a fantastic result of 1666.3 horsepower (at the rear wheels) from his LH Torana.

This result also sets a new record for the maximum power ever obtained on a Mainline Dyno, at a public power competition or event.  We look forward to seeing Jake line up again at Summernats 27 to defend his crown, in front of a his home crowd in 2014, and lift the bar even higher again !

Michael "Gup" Gilbert took out the title for the highest power result for a "naturally aspirated" engine, with a rear wheel horsepower result of 788.3hp, with his VE HSV GTS fitted with a Sonny's race engine. This quality built, awesome looking, vehicle was certainly an eye catcher during it's appearances in the Mainline Dyno Cell, throughout Summernats 26.
